January 18, 1779 – On this day, Peter Roget was born and the world was graced.
Peter Roget was a British physician, natural theologian and lexicographer. He is best known for publishing, in 1852, the Thesaurus of English Words and Phrases, a classified collection of related words.
In celebration of the birthday of Peter Roget, Amazing Grace is using Roget’s Thesaurus to broaden her vocabulary.
