Our Daily Grace!!!
September 11, 1892 – On this day, Pinto Colvig was born and the world was graced.
Vance DeBar Colvig, professionally Pinto Colvig, was an American vaudeville actor, voice actor, newspaper cartoonist and circus performer, whose schtick was playing the clarinet off-key while mugging. Colvig was the original Bozo the Clown, and the original voice of the Disney character Grumpy in the Walt Disney Films, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Grumpy initially opposes Snow White's presence in the dwarfs' home, but later warns her of the threat posed by the Queen and eagerly rushes to her aid upon realizing that she is in danger, leading the charge himself. He has the biggest nose of the dwarfs, and is frequently seen with one eye shut.
In celebration of the birthday of Pinto Colvig, Amazing Grace is transformed as Grumpy.
