Grace Kelly was an American film actress who became Princess of Monaco after marrying Prince Rainier III in April 1956. She gained stardom as an actress from her performance in director John Ford's film Mogambo which won her a Golden Globe Award and she had a leading role in the film, The Country Girl in 1954 for which she earned her Academy Award for Best Actress.
