November 2, 1755 – On this day, Marie Antoinette was born and the world was graced.
Marie Antoinette was the last Queen of France before the French Revolution. She became Dauphine of France in May 1770 at age 14 upon her marriage to Louis-Auguste, heir apparent to the French throne. On May 10, 1774, her husband ascended the throne as Louis XVI and she assumed the title Queen of France.
In celebration of the birthday of Marie Antoinette, Amazing Grace is dressed elegantly as the decadent queen who allegedly said ”Let them eat cake” when confronted with hungry people who are incapable of buying even a piece of bread!!!
