Summer has reportedly sold over 100 million records worldwide, making her one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. Rizal Day is a Philippine national holiday commemorating the life and works of José Rizal, a national hero of the Philippines. It is celebrated every December 30, the anniversary of Rizal's 1896 execution at Bagumbayan (present-day Rizal Park) in Manila. 

In celebration of Rizal Day, Amazing Grace is transformed as the Philippine National Hero, Jose Rizal.

December 29, 1936 – On this day, Mary Tyler Moore was born and the world was graced. 

Mary Tyler Moore was an American actress, known for her roles in the television sitcoms The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1977), in which she starred as Mary Richards, a single woman working as a local news producer in Minneapolis, and The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961–1966), in which she played Laura Petrie, a former dancer turned Westchester homemaker, wife and mother. Her film work includes 1967's Thoroughly Modern Millie and 1980's Ordinary People, in which she played a role that was very different from the television characters she had portrayed, and for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. Due to her roles on both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Dick Van Dyke Show, in which her characters often broke from stereotypical images of women and pushed gender norms, Moore became a cultural icon and served as an inspiration for many younger actresses, professional women, and feminists.

Stan Lee

Our Daily Grace!!!  

December 28, 1922 – On this day, Stan Lee was born and the world was graced. 

Stan Lee was an American comic book writer, editor, and publisher who was active from the 1940s to the 2010s. He rose through the ranks of a family-run business to become Marvel Comics' primary creative leader for two decades, leading its expansion from a small division of a publishing house to a multimedia corporation that dominated the comics industry. In collaboration with others at Marvel, he co-created numerous popular fictional characters, including superheroes Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch and Ant-Man. In doing so, he pioneered a more naturalistic approach to writing superhero comics in the 1960s, and in the 1970s he challenged the restrictions of the Comics Code Authority, indirectly leading to changes in its policies. In the 1980s he pursued development of Marvel properties in other media, with mixed results. Following his retirement from Marvel in the 1990s, he remained a public figurehead for the company, and frequently made cameo appearances in films based on Marvel characters, on which he received an honorary "executive producer" credit.

Louis Pasteur

December 27, 1822 – On this day, Louis Pasteur was born and the world was graced. 

Louis Pasteur was a French biologist, microbiologist and chemist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation and pasteurization. He is remembered for his remarkable breakthroughs in the causes and prevention of diseases, and his discoveries have saved many lives ever since. He reduced mortality from puerperal fever, and created the first vaccines for rabies and anthrax. His medical discoveries provided direct support for the germ theory of disease and its application in clinical medicine. He is best known to the general public for his invention of the technique of treating milk and wine to stop bacterial contamination, a process now called pasteurization. He is regarded as one of the three main founders of bacteriology, and is popularly known as the "father of microbiology".

December 24, 1166 – On this day, King John was born and the world was graced. 

King John also known as John Lackland, was King of England from 1199 until his death in 1216. John lost the Duchy of Normandy and most of his other French lands to King Philip II of France, resulting in the collapse of the Angevin Empire and contributing to the subsequent growth in power of the French Capetian dynastyduring the 13th century. The baronial revolt at the end of John's reign led to the sealing of Magna Carta, a document sometimes considered an early step in the evolution of the constitution of the United Kingdom.

Meghan Trainor is an American singer-songwriter known for her singles "All About That Bass" and "Lips Are Movin". Interested in music from a young age, Trainor wrote, recorded, performed, and produced three independently released albums between ages 15 and 17. In 2011, she signed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music as a songwriter, before she was offered a deal with Epic Records. Her debut single, "All About That Bass", was released in June 2014 and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, ultimately selling 11 million copies internationally. Diego Silang was a Filipino revolutionary leader who conspired with British forces to overthrow Spanish rule in the northern Philippines and establish an independent Ilocano state. His revolt was fueled by grievances stemming from Spanish taxation and abuses, and by his belief in self-government, that the administration and leadership of the Roman Catholic Church and government in the Ilocos be invested in trained Ilocano officials. He met an Itneg woman with the name of Gabriela Cariño. He married her and raised a family in the Ilocos Province.

Emilio Jacinto

December 15, 1875 – On this day, Emilio Jacinto was born and the world was graced.

Emilio Jacinto was a Filipino General during the Philippine Revolution. He was one of the highest-ranking officer in the Philippine Revolution and was one of the highest-ranking officers of the revolutionary society Kataas-taasan, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan, or simply and more popularly called Katipunan, being a member of its Supreme Council. He was elected Secretary of State for the Haring Bayang Katagalugan, a revolutionary government established during the outbreak of hostilities. He is popularly known in Philippine history textbooks as the Brains of the Katipunan. Jacinto was present in the so-called Cry of Pugad Lawin (or Cry of Balintawak) with Andrés Bonifacio, the Supreme President of the Katipunan, and others of its members which signaled the start of the Revolution against the Spanish colonial government in the islands.

Patty Duke was an American actress, appearing on stage, film, and television. Her first big break came from her Academy Award winning performance at age 16 for portraying Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker in 1962, a role that she had originated on Broadway.The following year she was given her own show, The Patty Duke Show, in which she played "identical cousins" Cathy and Patty Lane. She later progressed to more mature roles such as that of Neely O'Hara in the film Valley of the Dolls (1967). Over the course of her career, she received ten Emmy Award nominations and three Emmy Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards. Duke also served as president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1985 to 1988.

December 1957 – On this day, the Dr Seuss book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! was first released and the world was graced.

 Aided by his pet dog called Max, the Grinch disguises himself as Santa Claus and breaks into the Whos' homes to steal everything they own and dump it off a nearby mountain. Although he pulls off the theft successfully, on Christmas morning, he is shocked to hear the Whos still singing cheerfully, happy simply to have each other. In his attempt to steal the material trappings of Christmas, the Grinch inadvertently saved Christmas by helping the Whos realize that Christmas is more than just the highly commercialized side of Christmas.

December 13, 2018 – On this day, we are observing the Feast of Saint Lucy and the world was graced.

Saint Lucy's Day, also called the Feast of Saint Lucy, is a Christian feast day celebrated on 13 December in Advent, commemorating Saint Lucy, a 3rd-century martyr under the Diocletianic Persecution, who according to legend brought "food and aid to Christians hiding in the catacombs" using a candle-lit wreath to "light her way and leave her hands free to carry as much food as possible". Her feast once coincided with the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year before calendar reforms, so her feast day has become a Christian festival of light. Falling within the Advent season, Saint Lucy's Day is viewed as an event signaling the arrival of Christmastide, pointing to the arrival of the Light of Christ in the calendar, on Christmas Day.

Emily Dickinson was an American poet. She born in Amherst, Massachusetts into a prominent family with strong ties to its community. After studying at the Amherst Academy for seven years in her youth, she briefly attended the Mount Holyoke Female Seminary before returning to her family's house in Amherst. While Dickinson was a prolific private poet, fewer than a dozen of her nearly 1,800 poems were published during her lifetime. A complete, and mostly unaltered, collection of her poetry became available for the first time when scholar Thomas H. Johnson published The Poems of Emily Dickinson in 1955.

Donny Osmond is an American singer, dancer, actor, and former teen idol. Osmond has also been a talk and game show host, record producer and author. In the mid-1960s, he and four of his elder brothers gained fame as the Osmonds. Osmond went solo in the early 1970s, earning several top ten hits including, "Go Away Little Girl," "Puppy Love," and later, "Soldier of Love." For more than 40 years, he and younger sister Marie have also gained fame as Donny & Marie, partly due to the success of their 1976–79 self-titled variety series, which aired on ABC and a string of gold records. The duo also did a 1998–2000 talk show and have been headlining in Las Vegas since 2008. Osmond is also the celebrity winner of the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars.

Larry Bird

December 7, 1956 – On this day, Larry Bird was born and the world was graced.

Larry Bird is an American professional basketball executive, former coach and former player, most recently serving as president of the Indiana Pacers in the National Basketball Association(NBA). After retiring as a player for the Boston Celtics, he was a mainstay in the Indiana Pacers organization, but stepped down from the position of president following the first round of the 2017 Eastern Conference playoffs.

In celebration of the birthday of Larry Bird, Amazing Grace is cosplaying as one of the greatest basketball players and greatest shooters of all time.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a fabled reindeer created by Robert Lewis May. Rudolph is usually depicted as the lead reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve, though he is a young buck who has only adolescent antlers and a glowing red nose. Though he receives scrutiny for it, the luminosity of his nose is so great that it illuminates the team's path through harsh winter weather.

Saint Nicholas

Our Daily Grace!!!

December 6, 2018 – On this day, we are celebrating the Feast Day of Saint Nicholas and the world was graced.

Saint Nicholas was an early Christian bishop of the ancient Greek city of Myra in Asia Minor during the time of the Roman Empire. He is revered by many Christians as a saint. Because of the many miracles attributed to his intercession, he is also known as Nicholas the Wonderworker. His reputation evolved among the faithful, as was common for early Christian saints, and his legendary habit of secret gift-giving gave rise to the traditional model of Santa Claus a.k.a."Saint Nick".

In celebration of the Feast day of Saint Nicholas, Amazing Grace is dressed as the jolly old Saint Nicholas.

Christmas Stocking

 A Christmas stocking is an empty sock that is hung on Saint Nicholas Day and Christmas Eve so that Saint Nicholas can fill it with small toys, candy, fruit, coins or other small gifts when he arrives. These small items are often referred to as stocking stuffers. The tradition of the Christmas stocking is thought to originate from the life of Saint Nicholas. Tradition in Western culture threatens that a child who behaves badly during the year will receive only a piece or pile of coal in their Christmas Stocking.

Walt Disney

December 5, 1901 – On this day, Walt Disney was born and the world was graced.

Walt Disney was an American entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. A pioneer of the American animation industry, he introduced several developments in the production of cartoons. Disney developed an early interest in drawing. He took art classes as a boy and got a job as a commercial illustrator at the age of 18. He moved to California in the early 1920s and set up the Disney Brothers Studio with his brother Roy. With Ub Iwerks, Walt developed the character Mickey Mouse in 1928 and the rest as they say is history.

In celebration of the birthday of Walt Disney, Amazing Grace is cosplaying as Walt Disney with his greatest creation that started it all.

Tyra Banks is an American television personality, producer, businesswoman, actress, author, former model and occasional singer. Born in Inglewood, California, she began her career as a model at the age of 15, and was the first woman of African American descent to be featured on the covers of GQ and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, on which she appeared twice. She was a Victoria's Secret Angel from 1997 to 2005. By the early 2000s, Banks was one of the world's top-earning models.

Ozzy Osbourne is an English vocalist, songwriter, actor and reality television star who rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath. He left the band in 1979 and went on to have a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi-platinum certifications in the United States.

Britney Spears is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress. Born in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood, Louisiana, she appeared in stage productions and television series, before signing with Jive Records in 1997. Spears's first two studio albums, ...Baby One More Time (1999) and Oops!... I Did It Again (2000), were global successes and made her the best-selling teenage artist of all-time. Referred to as the "Princess of Pop", Spears was credited with influencing the revival of teen pop during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

December 1, 1945 – On this day, Bette Midler was born and the world was graced.

Bette Midler is an American singer, songwriter, actress, comedian, and film producer. Midler made her motion picture debut in 1979 with The Rose, which earned her a Golden Globe for Best Actress, as well as a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress. She has since starred in a number of hit films like Beaches in 1988 where she sang the poignant song entitled, Wind Beneath my Wings.

In celebration of the birthday of Bette Midler, Amazing Grace is transformed as Cecilia Carol "C.C." Bloom the character played by Bette in the film Beaches.
