Kuromi

Our Daily Grace!!!

October 31, 2005 – On this day, Kuromi is born and the world was graced.

Kuromi is My Melody's rival, who is a white rabbit wearing a black jester's hat with a pink skull on the front and a black devil's tail. The skull's facial expression changes to match Kuromi's mood. Fittingly, her birthday is Halloween (October 31st). Her name translates from Japanese to English as "black (Kuro) beauty (mi)."

Kuromi's appearance is also similar to those of cartoon characters from the 1990s such as Pichu from Pokémon. Kuromi has become a popular character for the punk, scene, and goth crowds due to her appearance.

Although Kuromi may be devilish, tough and tomboyish, she's actually very girly and is attracted to good-looking guys! She enjoys writing in her diary, whilst hooked onto romantic short stories and making mischief. Her favourite colors are black and hot pink. Her favorite food is shallots, all kinds of meat, and in recent Kuromi merchandise cherries have been shown. Since Kuromi enjoys cooking, she is mostly into meaty food; especially shallots as her favourite.

Kuromi is the friendly self-proclaimed counterpart to My Melody. Although she has warm feelings, her feelings are more inclined to rivalry too.

In celebration of the Kuromi, Amazing Grace is transformed as Kuromi.

Olive Oyl

Our Daily Grace!!!

October 15, 1912 – On this day, Bonnie Poe was born and the world was graced.

Bonnie Poe was an American actress and voice artist, best known for providing the voice for the character Olive Oyl in that studio's series of Popeye cartoons.

Olive was something of a coy flapper whose extremely thin build lent itself well to the fashions of the time; her long black hair was usually rolled in a neat bun, like her mother's. She is the youngest sibling of Castor Oyl and Crude Oyl. Olive and Popeye actually hated each other when they first met (her first words to him were "Take your hooks offa me or I'll lay ya in a scupper"); they fought bitterly—and hilariously—for weeks until finally realizing that they had feelings for each other.

In celebration of the Bonnie Poe, Amazing Grace is transformed as Olive Oyl.
