After hearing the news that Mang Dolphy was critical I was terribly saddened and immediately I was reminded of this wonderful character he played for several decades on the then RPN 9. Dolphy a.k.a. John Puruntong played a significant role in my life and in the formation of my values. That despite the modest or at times penury condition, we can get by with the help of loving and funny family and friends. I will miss the simple house in John and Marsha, the endearing characters and especially the one called John Puruntong. God bless Dolphy.
