October 28, 1886 – On ths day, the Statue of Liberty was dedicated and the world was graced.

The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York City. The copper statue, a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States, was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and built by Gustave Eiffel.

In celebration of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty, Amazing Grace is transformed into Libertas, a Roman liberty goddess, icon of freedom and a welcoming sight to immigrants arriving from abroad.
