September 23 – On this day, Barbara Gordon or Batgirl was born and the world was graced. Barbara is the daughter of Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon. By day, she is the head of the Gotham City Public Library but by night, she secretly transforms as the crime fighting Batgirl.
